The Wellness Center at Comfrey Corner of Heath encompasses several skilled holistic practitioners who practice a range of modalities, including bodywork and consultations. Our goal is to help our community reach their ultimate health goals by educating them on how to prevent disease and maintain wellness through the use of natural therapies.
The ionic foot bath is a gentle way to promote detoxification of the body. The foot bath machine releases ions into the water, which are absorbed into the body through the feet. These ions energize your cells, thus encouraging them to release oils, acid, fat, heavy metals, and other toxins. The process of eliminating these toxins helps to boost alkalinity, which is essential to good health and well-being.
Although we do not make any claims that the footbath will cure, treat, prevent, or diagnose any condition, many people have claimed that they experience reduced pain, higher energy levels, and relief from allergies, insomnia, and other conditions after treatment. Ionic foot baths are gentle and safe, but there are a few contraindications to consider. It is not recommended to have a session if you have a pacemaker or any other battery-operated, electrical, or metal implants. Other contraindications include pregnancy, breastfeeding, organ transplant recipient, and epilepsy. If you are on dialysis, have diabetes, and/or any other medical condition, you should consult with your physician before trying an ionic footbath.

Far Infrared Sauna (FIR) therapy is a specialized detoxification technique that promotes the elimination of toxins from the body. Because the heat of an FIR sauna reaches deeper into the tissues than the heat of a traditional sauna, you will sweat more at lower temperatures and release up to 7 times more toxins. It brings toxins into circulation and eliminates them through the bowels and kidneys effectively, as well as through the skin with sweat.
There are many health benefits from using the FIR sauna, including detoxification, improved circulation, injury recovery, immune system enhancement, cardiovascular conditioning, pain relief, skin rejuvenation, and more!
Contraindications of the FIR Sauna include dehydration, multiple sclerosis, pregnancy and lactation, recent joint injury, chronically hot and swollen joints or any other tissue, medication with a narrow therapeutic index, hemophilia, and/or predisposition to hemorrhage, unstable hypertension, severe hypotension, superficial metallic implants (i.e. rods, metal pins, artificial joints). If you have any of these conditions, please consult with your doctor before considering the FIR sauna.
